Adventures with Baobab operates an off-road trail within the 1600-hectare Cradle Moon Conservancy – a bush experience just outside of the city. We offer a secure and pristine natural experience for both young and old or those just seeking a breath of fresh air.
Journey across off-road obstacles from easy to rugged and a rocky terrain set in a picturesque environment. The obstacles have been carefully designed to keep you entertained – from the novice out on his first trip to the 4×4 fundi seeking an easy to moderate track, Adventures with Baobab promises fun for the entire family. From weather and other unpredictable elements your trail drive will be unforgettable.

DRIVING EVENTS
Our off-road trail is a blank canvas that can be transformed into your dream event space – from corporate events, team building, product launches, client appreciation days… the possibilities are endless!
Our off-road events are nothing short of an adventure. Navigating and following instructions on the day is essential. Working together is important and being a team will keep everyone together and safe. Baobab has a solid reputation for providing professional 4×4 training courses and off-road adventure tours by experienced instructors and guides.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Corporate and private events, vehicle launches and driver training are quoted individually dependent on specific event requirements. Public open days will be advertised separately at a per person rate.
Our trail is suitable for 4×2, 4×4 and AWD vehicles with adequate ground clearance, approach and departure angles
Unfortunately no quad bikes or motorbikes are allowed

Guests are prohibited from bringing their own food and beverages, but Cradle Moon provides two fully licensed restaurants where various meals and refreshments can be enjoyed.
Enjoy a sundowner with a splendid view of the dam & the Crocodile River at Cradle Moon’s Current restaurant and bar or sit at the main restaurant where you may catch a zebra passing by for a sip out the pool.
Our trail is open for corporate and private events, vehicle launches and driver training through relevant bookings. Monthly public open days will be advertised on social media.
CRADLE MOON CONSERVANCY
Cradle Moon Conservancy was created with the sole goal of rehabilitation and environmental ethics. Thus the flora and fauna will come first. The Conservancy is made up of the farms of Zwartkop and Driefontein and equates to an area of around 1600 hectares with Rhino, Eland, Kudu, Red Hartebeest, Black Wildebeest, Blue Wildebeest, Zebra, Duiker, Impala, Springbuck, Blesbuck, Jackal and Aardwolf.

Make your adventure a day outing by exploring your surroundings after navigating our off-road trail. Adventures with Baobab is situated within Cradle Moon Lakeside Lodge and offers multiple activities to enjoy the indigenous surroundings, including game drives, guided walks and boat cruises.
For the more active crowds Cradle Moon has over 50km of cycling and running trails, including single track, hand-built bridges, banked corners and much more. Enjoy a sundowner with a splendid view of the dam & the Crocodile River at the Current Restaurant situated on the dam wall with a large deck and seating capacity of 120 pax.
